Early Voting

A person may cast their ballot early in person at the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office at least 45 days prior to any general primary or general election without a declared reason.  Our office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Please contact our office for more information on Early Voting at (706) 629-7781.  

For a Municipal General Election you can cast your ballot early in person at least 21 days prior to the election without a declared reason.  Please contact your local Municipality to find the location where you would go to cast your Municipal ballot early. 

Early Voting for the 2010 General Primary Election will begin on Monday, June 7, 2010 and will end on Friday, July 9, 2010.  Early Voting will be held at the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office located in the Gordon County Annex Building.  Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Advance Voting

If your hectic schedule has ever kept you from getting to the polls on Election Day, Georgia law offers you a great solution - advance voting - designed to meet the needs of today's busy Georgians.  With advance voting you may choose to vote in person before Election Day simply as a matter of convenience.  Advance voting allows any registered voter to cast a ballot IN PERSON at their county board of registrars' office during normal business hours on the Monday through Friday the week prior to an election.  All that you have to do is simply complete an application at your registration office and provide one of the 6 forms of photo identification required under Georgia law.  You will then be issued a ballot to cast right there in the registrars office.  Our office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.   Please contact our office for more information on Advance Voting at (706) 629-7781. 

Advance Voting for the 2010 General Primary Election will begin on Monday, July 12, 2010 and will end on Friday, July 16, 2010.  Advance Voting will be held at the Gordon County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office located in the Gordon County Annex Building.  Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Please note that you cannot cast your ballot early or in advance on the Monday before Election Day.  The last day to cast your ballot early or in advance is on the Friday before the election.  If you choose to early or advance vote, you cannot cast another ballot at your precinct on Election Day.
